Sophie Lavaud, a French-Swiss-Canadian mountaineer, has become a major figure in Himalayan mountaineering. A passionate mountaineer, she made history by becoming the first French woman to climb all fourteen of the world's 8,000-meter peaks, an achievement accomplished in 2023 after more than ten years of expeditions in the Himalayas.
