The fourteen 8000

Nepal, Pakistan, China (Tibet)
Between 2012 and 2023, I climbed the planet's fourteen peaks of more than 8,000 meters. A rare success, but never solitary. These expeditions were a story of patience, commitment, sometimes doubt, but above all of shared trust. This page traces this long journey where each summit was an apprenticeship.

The 14 peaks over 8000 meters

One step after the other, one summit after the other...

It all started in 2012, in Tibet, with a first peak at over 8,000 meters: the ascent of Shisha Pangma. I didn't know yet that this would be the start of a long journey. Year after year, summit after summit, I built this course without looking for the record, but with the desire to progress, to learn, and to come back stronger each time. Climbing 8,000 is not about checking boxes: it's about learning to do better each time. To do together. This adventure is not a series of victories, it is a journey of transformation. Here are the stages of this adventure, as they were lived, between advances, renouncements... and fourteen summits.

The solidarity project: The NGO Terre des hommes

As an ambassador for Terre des hommes, throughout my quest for the 14 peaks of more than 8,000 meters, I was committed to giving visibility to the organization's projects, in particular in Nepal and Pakistan, countries at the heart of my expeditions and where Terre des hommes carries out essential actions in favor of children and their families. Through my extraordinary career, I want to transmit a message of solidarity and perseverance, and thus contribute to strengthening the impact and reputation of Terre des hommes in its mission to protect children.
