Geopolitics caught up with us on this base camp, escorted by the local police and visited by the army. Like stories, it's scary... and on our first attempt in 2022, Sangay was frightened when he made his first port to camp 2. He doesn't want to go up. Pressure, tension, discussion, hesitation, and we're missing the right window. Even if you're super experienced, you don't know everything. 2023, Happy end! The dream comes true no frostbite no injuries no evacuations! A huge success... And after?

RECCO® — “BE SEARCHABLE”
Raise awareness and train sherpas and high-altitude porters about the risks of avalanches.
Since 2017 as a RECCO ambassador, with Sangay we have been organizing training courses in the Himalayas and beyond. RECCO technology makes it possible to be located in the event of an avalanche or loss in nature.
