This Makalu is a big committed mountain. A real game of patience. We waited until May 23 to reach the summit. The summit ridge is very beautiful. On the way down between camp 4 and 3, I saved Marco who was in trouble. I now know that without me he would have died. The de-escalation was extremely hard, just like the learning and reality of the Himalayas... Not always rosy...
