“The last summit” - The success of the 14 peaks over 8,000 meters by Sophie Lavaud

This story of the rise of Nanga Parbat is interspersed with returns to the heroine's Himalayan past. With great skill, the editing of the film thus slides by association of ideas or events from one mountain to another without ever letting go of this fourteenth and last 8,000-meter peak climbed by Sophie Lavaud. Following in the footsteps of Dawa Sangay Sherpa, the impressive and masterful Nepali guide, his western partner shows pugnacity and strategic finesse to reach the summit. At the end of 22 expeditions conducted since 2012, the obsessive objective of 14 x 8000 has finally been reached. For Sophie the obstacle course ends with a tough victory and the honor of being the first on the podium of her three nationalities (France, Switzerland, Canada).
